Helicon Inc., a non-profit organization committed to raising women’s confidence and comprehension in math, teaches approximately 20 hours of trades-focused math to each class.

Helicon also provides extra preparation outside of class for women preparing to take tests to enter apprenticeships.

New York Committee for Occupational Safety & Health
NEW partners with the New York Committee for Occupational Safety & Health (NYCOSH) to provide basic training in ergonomics, hazardous materials, and women’s health issues. Students earn a 10-hour OSHA certification card and a NYCOSH health and safety certificate.

Con Edison
Con Edison provides pro-bono classroom and hands-on training in basic electrical theory, transmission and distribution, and New York City health and safety codes and standards.
