Placement Highlights

NEW is always working to expand its employer base.  Over the last year, we've added several new employers.  Here are some highlights from placements NEW has made recently.

Colette McCready

Dockbuilders

Colette McCready is a first-year Dockbuilders apprentice who started working on the Tri-Boro Bridge project in early October.  She is the first NEW graduate to be placed with the Dockbuilders.

Jennifer Romano

Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation (NMIC)

Jennifer Romano participated in the Deconstruction Project at Columbia University over the summer.  She started with NMIC as a weatherization crew technician in September

after attending a weatherization job fair in August.  She is the first woman crew member to work for NMIC.

Cauwna Bowman
Heat & Frost Insulators, Local 12

Cauwna Bowman is a first-year apprentice at Local 12 and the first placement NEW has made with the union.
