First step: Register and attend an information session 

After registering, you should expect a confirmation email from NEW with a Zoom link. If you do not find the email, please check your SPAM folder. You must sign up for a session in advance to attend.  

Next steps: 

  • Take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) 

  • Attend an Introduction to NEW session 

  • Participate in the intake process 

  • Go to your first day of class!

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS 

  • NEW welcomes women, and women-identified individuals to apply 

  • 18 years or older 

  • High school diploma or equivalency/GED 

  • Proficient in English (classes are offered in English) 

  • Eligible to work in the United States 

  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 65 lbs. and stand for 7-8 hours
