Dan Finnegan
Strong leadership shapes skylines long before steel meets sky. At the helm of one of New York’s most influential construction operations is Dan Finnegan, a seasoned executive whose career reflects both longevity and impact. Nontraditional Employment for Women is delighted to celebrate Dan as an honoree during its 2026 Equity Leadership Awards Luncheon on Thursday, June 4.
As Executive Vice President and New York Business Unit Leader, Dan provides executive leadership and strategic oversight for one of the largest business units within STO Building Group. He leads a $2 billion operation, guiding long-term growth, strengthening financial performance, and reinforcing the firm’s position as a market leader across New York City’s dynamic construction landscape.
Dan’s journey with Structure Tone began in 1988 when he joined as an intern. Over more than three decades, he steadily rose through the organization, earning a reputation for steady leadership, operational excellence, and deep institutional knowledge. Today, he serves as a key member of the company’s executive leadership team—an achievement built on dedication, experience, and a clear vision for the industry’s future.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dan is equally committed to mentorship and community impact. He serves as Chair of the Real Estate Council for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, supporting efforts that bring hope and joy to children facing critical illnesses. He is also actively involved in the Boy Scouts Explorers Program, helping guide and inspire the next generation of leaders.
Dan Finnegan’s career is a testament to the power of commitment—both to craft and to community. His leadership continues to shape not just buildings, but the people and partnerships that build them.
We hope to see you on June 4, 2026, when you will learn more about and meet Dan!
