Olivia Walsh
Olivia Walsh is a skilled plumber with Delphi Plumbing and Heating, Inc. and a dedicated instructor committed to supporting the next generation of tradeswomen. This year, she is being honored as Nontraditional Employment for Women’s (NEW) Tradeswoman of the Year, recognizing both her technical skill and the impact she’s made within the field.
Like many entering the trades, Olivia wasn’t always certain which path to take. She found her way into plumbing somewhat unexpectedly—but quickly discovered a passion for the work and a deep respect for the craft. What began as exploration soon became a career grounded in purpose, skill, and steady growth.
A proud member of U.A. Local 1, Olivia’s journey reflects years of hands-on experience and commitment to learning. She began as an apprentice plumber, building a strong foundation in installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across a range of structures. Through her work with companies including Evergreen Mechanical and Cardoza Plumbing Corp., she developed expertise in reading blueprints, collaborating with teams on job sites, and ensuring all work meets the highest standards of safety and code.
Over time, Olivia has continued to grow within the field, taking on greater responsibility and refining her skills. In her current role, she brings not only technical knowledge, but also a thoughtful and steady approach to her work—grounded in precision, problem-solving, and teamwork.
In addition to her work in the field, Olivia serves as a teaching instructor, where she shares her experience with women entering the trades. She plays an important role in helping others build confidence, develop their skills, and see what’s possible for themselves in this industry. Her mentorship reflects a genuine commitment to creating more inclusive and supportive pathways into the trades.
Olivia’s journey is one of persistence, growth, and care—for her work and for the people coming up behind her. As NEW’s 2026 Tradeswoman of the Year, she represents not only excellence in the trades, but also the power of finding your path and helping others find theirs.
